Potential BITTERTONE Fanzine Covers
A few years ago I wanted to create a fanzine based on new and unsigned bands, fashion, art and graphic illustrations.
I wanted it to be a high quality fanzine/book to keep so that after about 12 issues it would illustrate a series of what that year offered in terms of creativity.
I wanted the cover to have as little as possible or text and images only instead of pictures of people or models.
In the end I focused on my illustrations and created a small book, and never used these images.

-ALIGN MAGAZINE- Issue 1 - Spirit & Destiny
I wanted to create a magazine cover with no use of a celebrity image on the cover, instead I took the first letter of the title of the magazine called Align and repeated it to make the logo centre of the magazine, which would make it a regular title cover.
The background would be an illustration or image of an artist featured in the magazine as the background.
I wanted the creative direction of the magazine to be focused around who is featured such as artists, designer, writers and all types of up and coming creatives. The brand would be fitted specifically around the artists work so that each page would be designed from them and around their work.
Similar to Lodown Magazine as each issue is a specific theme.
The images I have used was to represent the word Spirit ( in one of the background is an angel in black and white’ and Destiny ( which is the Sheep about to be killed by wolves. A screen shot from an old cartoon Mighty Mouse)
I wanted to express the idea of having the contributors and people who would be featured in the magazine’s creative direction based around their work, thus making the magazine more accesible to readers and a collectable unique copy of the publication on a monthly basis.
